The Brookside Mansion has become the scene of a crime, and we need your help finding the culprit! Everyone is a suspect. You will be asked to put your detective skills to work before the criminal strikes again. Two $500 scholarships will be offered to high school seniors intending to enroll at USF in the fall of 2025.

 

Schedule

8:15-8:45 a.m. Check-in

8:45 a.m. Welcome and Instructions

9:15 a.m. The game will commence

10:30 a.m. End of game and group photo in front of the mansion

10:45 a.m. Breakout sessions with various major programs

11:45 a.m. Lunch, mystery reveal with prizes, scholarship presentations

 

Breakout sessions

· Develop Your Own Mystery: Creating Suspects, Motives, and Means by Chelsie McCorkle, Assistant Professor of English and Writing Center Director

· How to Interview a Witness by Dr. Mario Baldassari, Assistant Professor of Psychology

· Medical Mayhem: See how the medical system aids both the process of Law & Order as well as the survivors of a crime in the Immersive Suite and Simulation Labs presented by Nursing, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Social Work, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology

· FULL SESSIONCan you Dig it? Help a forensic anthropologist excavate human remains and gather information from bones by Whitney Hadley-Salay, Administrative Assistant, Division of Sciences and Registered Archaeologist, and Jenny Maldonado, Assistant Professor of Biology and Clinical Lab Sciences Program Director (Limited to 12 students - Limit reached) 

· FULL SESSIONCrime Scene Analysis: Let the Evidence Tell a Story by Heather Jeffries, Assistant Professor and Director of Criminal Justice and Criminology
