The Brookside Mansion has become the scene of a crime and we need your help finding the culprit! Everyone is a suspect. You will be asked to put your detective skills to work before the criminal strikes again.

Cold Case Journalism: Persistence and Precision. This workshop will focus on the dedication and depth needed for impactful journalistic work on cold cases. Examples of quality work from media outlets will be provided. Presented by Dr. Eric Grabowsky, Associate Professor and Program Director of Communication.
Crime Scene Analysis: Let the Evidence Tell a Story. Presented by Heather Jeffries, Assistant Professor and Director of Criminal Justice and Criminology.
Diving for Clues. Members of the Fort Wayne Fire Department’s Dive Team will demonstrate a water search and rescue in Mirror Lake.

Step into the dark history of wax museum “Chambers of Horrors,” where audiences once gawked at grisly crimes and notorious criminals. In this workshop, we’ll uncover how these creepy spectacles paved the way for today’s true crime obsessions. Presented by Elizabeth Kuebler, PhD, Associate Professor of Art History.
Whodunit? You, You Dun It: Writing Villains. There’s a reason all actors want to play villains: they’re usually the most fascinating characters in a story. In this writing workshop, we’ll explore villain archetypes, discuss examples from popular culture, and then create villains of our own. Presented by Dr. Michael Levan, Associate Professor of English, Sullivan Series Director.
