Rick Cartwright (1951-2023) was a member of the Saint Francis faculty from 1975 to 2017 and the founding dean of the School of Creative Arts in 2004 until his retirement in 2017. This exhibition, which runs through Oct. 13, will display works spanning 5 decades in a variety of media including drawing, painting, digital imaging, and found object sculpture. This exhibition will describe not only the artist’s creative output but also their dedication to teaching. Cartwright earned a master of fine art degree from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Weatherhead Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. The Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center galleries will be closed Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.
